ASV uz robežas ar Ukrainu izvietojušas stratēģiskos bumbvedējus
23.07.2024 ASV izvietojušas divus starpkontinentālos stratēģiskos bumbvedējus B-52 "Stratofortress" Rumānijas gaisa spēku 57. aviācijas bāzē. Tie piedalīsies operācijā "Bomber Task Force Europe" (BTF), ziņo ASV gaisa spēku Eiropā preses dienests.Tie darbosies ASV Gaisa spēku 20. ekspedīcijas bumbvedēju eskadras sastāvā, kā arī sāks sadarboties ar NATO spēkiem.
Ierodoties Mihaila Kogelničanu vārdā nosauktajā gaisa bāzē, lidmašīnas B-52 Rumānijas un Somijas iznīcinātāju pavadībā veica kopīgu lidojumu. Izvēršanas ietvaros tie darbosies kā 20. ekspedīcijas bumbvedēju eskadra, integrējoties ar NATO un citiem starptautiskajiem partneriem, lai uzlabotu drošību ASV Eiropas pavēlniecības atbildības zonā.
Šī ir pirmā reize, kad Rumānijā darbojas amerikāņu stratēģiskie bumbvedēji.
"Globālās nestabilitātes vidē ir svarīgi saglabāt ilgtspējīgas liela attāluma spējas. Šī operācija ļauj uzlabot mūsu spēku taktiku un savietojamību," sacīja USAFE-AFAFRICA komandieris ģenerālis Džeimss Hekers.
ASV aktīvi atbalsta NATO sabiedrotos, izmantojot BTF misijas, ļaujot USAFE-AFAFRICA efektīvi pielietot spēkus Eiropā, radot stratēģisku uzticību un atturot potenciālos pretiniekus.
"Mēs strādāsim ar sabiedrotajiem austrumu flangā, lai nodrošinātu drošību un stabilitāti reģionā," sacīja Hekers.
ASV stratēģisko bumbvedēju izvietošana apliecina ASV un NATO apņemšanos koordinēt un aizsargāt aliansi.
ASV karaspēks Eiropā
Pat pirms Krievijas pilna mēroga iebrukuma Ukrainā ASV nolēma pārcelt uz Eiropu 3 tūkstošus savu militāro spēku.
Tajā pašā laikā CNN nesen ziņoja, ka lielākā daļa ieroču no jaunās ASV palīdzības paketes ir iepriekš novietoti Vācijā un Polijā. Pateicoties tam, piegāde uz Ukrainu tiks paātrināta.
